What is the difference between Compression Leg Sleeves, Item #6055, and the Shin Splint/Calf Compression Sleeve, Item #6045?

The compression leg sleeves, item #6055, are sold in a pair - i.e. two sleeves in total. The shin splint/calf compression sleeve, item #6045, is sold as a single unit - i.e. only one sleeve. They are the same great product. The only difference is in the quantity.

I put the garment on, why don't I feel the compression?

In the world of compression, more is not necessarily better. Too much compression may have an adverse effect, restricting blood flow. Realizing this, Zensah has created their apparel with the optimal amount of compression. Even though you may not feel it, our products are working to ensure you perform at your best.

What size am I?

All of our products have a sizing chart on their respective pages. We offer sizing by both height and calf size. If you fall between two sizes, calf size should be used as the primary criteria for choosing size.

See how to measure your calf size.

Leg Sleeves

When choosing a size, calf size should be used as the primary determinant. We list height for those who do not know their calf size.

XS/S
Calf Size: 9.5" - 12.5" Height: 5'3" and below
S/M Calf Size: 12.5" - 15" Height: 5'4" - 5'10
L/XL Calf Size: 15" and up Height: 5'11" and up

Arm Sleeve Sizing:
S/M: Biceps 13.5" and under; Wrist 6" and under
L/XL: Biceps 13.5" and above; Wrist 6.25" and above

Bicep size should be measured with the muscle lightly flexed. Measure the circumference of both the wrist and bicep at the largest point. Note that if in between the two sizes, use bicep size as the main determinant.

How do I wash my Zensah Apparel?

While Zensah Fabric® is the most comfortable sports fabric in the world it's also durable. Our innovative fibers and yarns will last through hard training. Zensah® still needs to be taken care of. Ideal care for Zensah® apparel is machine wash cold, and delicate machine dry.

Do I need to know mmHg level?

No! The Zensah® running compression socks are the first and only sock to incorporate ProGrade Compression. ProGrade Compression is the optimal amount of compression which can enhance an athlete's performance. Too much compression and there are diminishing returns, too little compression and the muscles are not getting enough oxygen blood flow.

Won't the additional layer of Zensah Apparel make me feel hot?

No! Zensah Apparel is made with remarkable silver ion fabric and moisture wicking technology which keeps you warm in cold weather, yet dry when you perspire.

What is the difference between the high compression bottoms (tights, shorts, capris) and base layer compression bottoms?

The high compression bottoms, which include the high compression shorts, high compression tights, and high compression capris, feature a high level of compression compared to the base layer compression bottoms. The base layer compression bottoms are designed for those seeking mild compression during activity. The high level compression bottoms are for those seeking a greater level of compression during activity and specifically for recovery purposes.

When do I wear the high compression bottoms?

The high compression bottoms, which include the high compression shorts, high compression tights, and high compression capris, may be worn either during activity or post-activity for recovery purposes. It is personal preference. Some prefer the extra support during activity, while others prefer to wear as little as possible. We recommend trying both to see what you like best.

How often do I need to replace my leg sleeves and compression socks?

The life of the product depends on usage. Just like a pair of running shoes, the life of our leg sleeves and compression socks varies with the amount of miles you put on them. Based on typical usage, you should expect them to last about 6-8 months. We recommend that if it has been 6 months since your last pair of new leg sleeves or socks, you order a new pair to ensure you are receiving the optimal amount of compression.
