If you read my review on the Isis Sport’s Bra and Brief you know that sweating is quite an annoying issue for me. Luckily, a large percentage of my life consists of engaging in activities where sweating is acceptable. I won’t go into detail on how embarrassing it is for me to dress up for a wedding. This will be left for a later blogging rant and rave.
Fit test: Incredibly comfortable? Yes. In the nature of a true base layer, the Zensah is form-fitting. It feels great as it hugs your body. I really like the longer length so it can be tucked in: I’m not a big fan of a cool draft up my back while riding in the cool spring temperatures. The seamless construction allows for a nice, chafe-free experience. The white color choice will be great for all warm weather endeavors. The long sleeve is also a great UV protecting layer. Concealing but cool is my favorite combination.
Function test: I wore this as a base layer under my jersey on a long road ride. Cycling in the Rockies can be a chilling experience one minute and a boiler the next. Cyclists, in both warmer and cooler weather, commonly wear base layers. While this layer helps regulate body temperature as well as wick away moisture, traditional cut and sewn layers of the past can cause much chafing and discomfort to cyclists. The new ZensahTM Technology, on the other hand, successfully combines the comfort of a seamless cut with the function of a temperature regulating, moisture wicking base layer for all activities. Bravo!
