Biggest accomplishment of your career:  Qualifying for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and becoming 2008 NCAA Div. II National Champion at 1500m.

What parts of your training are key to your success?  Foam rolling and glute/core/hip activation exercises.  Without those things I’d be a permanently injured athlete.

What is the biggest challenge you face in your sport, and what do you do to overcome it? Trying to learn how to balance how much I can stress my body without becoming injured.  Running and training at a high level is very hard on the body.  If you want to improve at this level you have to push the limits, but not too much.  I have learned that progress cannot be forced and that sometimes things don’t happen exactly when, where, and how you wanted them to happen…but, that doesn’t mean you have failed.  You are just taking an alternate route.

What is your favorite Zensah product and why? I really enjoy the Ultra Compression Leg Sleeves.  I really enjoy the tightness the sleeve gives.  I wear them before, during , and after training sessions.  I also really like the Tech+ Compression Socks.  The material is just wonderful.  They are much easier to get on than other compression socks I have worn, but still provide the compression I need.

How long have you been using Zensah? 1 year

If you could be great at any other sport besides your current one, what would it be? I would like to be a professional pole vaulter.  Track and Field is simply awesome!

What’s your favorite thing to eat after a tough workout? A generously stuffed chicken and cheese quesadilla with all the fixings.

Who/what inspires you?  I am inspired by the human body.  The human body is so incredible.  The adaptations that the body is able to achieve when exposed to specific stimuli is mind blowing.  It is an amazing piece of work.  The human body can my very mysterious at times too, but that mystery makes this whole quest of finding our limits and potential exciting.

How does Zensah help you perform without limits?  After continuously beating myself up daily, Zensah is needed to help my body absorb, repair, and rebuild.
