The original Grit socks had excellent cushioning without being thick, were great for warm and cold weather, kept feet dry, and never caused blisters.
We took that innovative design, and added even more polypropylene and merino wool content to make them lighter and more breathable, better at wicking moisture to keep feet dry, and better at regulating temperature.

I already had a few pairs in color grey but these are really attractive in black. The comfort is exceptional and they are very well constructed.

I recently purchased Zensah running socks. I ware them mainly to play pickleball. They are super comfortable and provide good arch support that helps with planar faciatis.

I really like these socks. They provide good support without those tight, constricting bands at the top (as is sometimes the case with some Zensah socks). They wash well -- My only clothes dryer is "solar and wind;" i.e., a clothes line -- so I can't speak to how well they do in a "conventional" dryer. Ok, I admit it: I really like those little dots on the bottom of the sock that "massage" my toes. Their purpose is probably support for your feet, but I like the way they feel under my toes after a long hike. Size works well - my usual size.

Since I started using Zensah I have never again had blisters running. I love this sock and use it for triathlon a lot too since it is so easy to get on. Also the wool component works amazing in the cold weather AND in the heat. I have used grit socks in freezing and 80°F+. If I am doing a race or a workout that pace matters, this is my sock.

LOVE these socks :) I do wish they were made in a taller crew size, but these are fantastic, a bit warmer than the typical Zensah socks I have!

Minor differences from the Original. The blend changed slightly. If you walk around without shoes on a slick surface VS the original Grit sock you will slip a little more because the bottom padding pattern changed. The compression is different also. So buy and try. If you still like the older version better I would stock up if they decide not to make them anymore. And if they discontinue the Original I would buy these because they got the blend right where it does not feel like you are wearing synthetic socks.
