Bought this to use as a face covering while hiking and running. Stayed up much better than other buffs/handkerchiefs I've tried when hiking. Was difficult to breathe on strenuous uphill hiking, but much for comfortable on the downhill. Based on this experience, I don't expect to use it for running. Thank you Zensah for making this product! Will buy more when back in stock. Would love to see some solid colors.

I guess it depends on the intent of the purchase. I bought this mini gaiter as a an "emergency" face covering while I'm out on the trail. The material is a thicker weave than other gaiters I have; it feels like quality;) It works great as a headband and great as a neck gaiter/emergency face covering. I agree with a previous reviewer that it would be a little tough/uncomfortable for running (for that I like the Zensah perfomance face mask - hands down!). I'm very happy with my purchase.

The gaiter works OK as a face covering while running. It doesn't stay up as well as I'd like, but I rarely am close enough to others while exercising so I don't have to pull it on. It's comfortable and very convenient to have it around my neck, hands-free, most of the time. The fabric is nice and dries quickly after being machine washed. I've had it a short time so I can't comment on durability.

I love the colors and the feel of this face covering! I also love that I can dual purpose it into a headband that will cover my ears in the colder season. Sometimes It feels a little restricting when I have it up over my face, especially when I'm breathing hard, but it stays up when I need it to and doesn't bother me when its around my neck. Overall, this is a great face covering!

At least in summer running, this gaiter was not breathable. It looks nice, but does not work for me in the SoCal heat.
