I have never purchased a compression bandage before so had no expectations on how it could help my hamstring pain. The size was appropriate for the diameter of my thigh and was snug, but not too tight. There are 'grips' on the bandage which keeps it in place. Along with ice, ibuprofen, and rest, this sleeve helped to significantly reduce my pain
