What got you started: My sister, who was running track and field.
Biggest accomplishment of your career: Running NYC and Philly marathons 3 weeks apart where I PR’d at NYC (3:23) and then PR’d again at Philly (3:22).
What parts of your training are key to your success? Using the treadmill to its speed training benefit, and sleeping a lot.
What is the biggest challenge you face in your sport, and what do you do to overcome it? In marathoning, as training goes on and gets tougher and more voluminous, I always start feeling a lack of motivation to do my runs (especially long runs can be very draining emotionally and physically), but being able to push through by remembering why you signed up in the first place is key. I like having buddies to make you accountable. Podcasts help too J
What is your favorite Zensah product and why? Compression Arm Sleeves! This was what I wore during Boston, and they didn’t make me overheated like arm warmers, but still provided me with compression and helped circulate the blood.
How long have you been using Zensah? Just over a year!
If you could be great at any other sport besides your current one, what would it be? I’ve always had a fascination for ballet.
What’s your favorite thing to eat after a tough workout? A New York everything bagel with plain cream cheese plus a Bloody Mary.
Who/what inspires you? I love watching people do something really well; whether it’s Broadway acting or drawing or nailing a sport – the perfection of a feat is amazing to me!
