    If there's one thing you need to know about getting fit, it's that you need the right tools to do it properly. No, this doesn't mean that you have to splurge on the most expensive equipment and gym memberships. But it does mean that you need to keep your gym bag stocked with workout essentials so you are never caught on the wrong foot when it comes to fitness. Here are five essentials below. 

    Reusable Water Bottle

    Keeping yourself hydrated is one of the most important things about exercise. Whether you're in the gym or going for a run outdoors, you need to make sure your body has the fluids and electrolytes it needs. 

    Honestly, when it comes to proper hydration really any bottle will do in a pinch. If you are picky though, there are tons of options out there for all sorts of lifestyles. For example, pliable bottles are great to use for both camping and the gym because they can be rolled up to save space. 

    A Good Face Covering

    Face coverings while working out are important not just to protect your face from the sun or dust, but from viruses and bacteria as well. As we've learned in recent years, protecting against airborne viruses is no joke. Unfortunately, most masks are not the most comfortable for exercise. 

    Because you'll be doing strenuous physical activity for an extended period of time, you'll need a face covering that won't move around or feel inconvenient to wear.     Good Gym Shoes

    Proper shoes are essential to the gym experience. Not only do they make exercise routines more comfortable, investing in a good pair of shoes is actually important for your health and safety. The wrong shoes could mean a lack of protection or grip and could potentially lead to mishaps or injuries along the way. 

    If you're not quite so sure where to start with picking the right gym shoes, research common gym shoes and what they are best for. While your shoes are dependent on the kind of activity you'll be doing, make sure to prioritize comfort and durability. Your shoes should hold up to repeated use, so invest in a good brand.
