What got you started: I ran my first marathon as a bucket list thing 10 years ago, then slowly but surely it became a competition with myself of seeing how much faster I could get and run marathons, half marathons, 10ks and 5ks, then adding in ultras on how many miles could I really run in a single race.

Biggest accomplishment of your career: Running a Boston Qualifying time at the California International Marathon in 2014.

What parts of your training are key to your success?  The keys to success in training are having a plan, and having the proper recovery tools in place from nutrition to compression gear and rollers.

What is the biggest challenge you face in your sport, and what do you do to overcome it? The biggest challenge is going to run a sub 3:00 marathon.  I personally think it is a mental thing at this point of proper execution on race day.  I think it is all about believing and trusting my training.

What is your favorite Zensah product and why? I really enjoy the Recovery Tights; I take them with me everywhere that I go.  As a professional soccer coach, I am always on the road and traveling through airports.  When I finally get to my destination and get out for a run, my legs feel fresh, like I haven’t been on them all day.

How long have you been using Zensah? I have been using Zensah for 2 years now.

If you could be great at any other sport besides your current one, what would it be? Baseball

What’s your favorite thing to eat after a tough workout? Pancakes.

Who/what inspires you? My wife and son keep me motivated in life and in sport.

How does Zensah help you perform without limits? Recovery is a key component when training hard and logging in as many miles as I do.  I also enjoy the arm sleeves which keep me from getting drained from the elements, especially the direct sunlight.
